Business Journal: Big Data startup Sumo Logic raises $30M

A Mountain View startup that helps customers gain insights from data that was long ignored raised another $30 million on Wednesday, its second major funding since emerging from stealth in February.

Sumo Logic’s software analyzes logs generated by servers, data that until now most companies didn’t pay much attention to unless there was a problem. It does this in the cloud, too, saving customers the expense of buying storage hardware and software.

The company was founded in 2009 Christian Beedgen and Kumar Saurabh.
